Nursel Nisanur Öztürk Ölü Beden Manzaraları
Ölü Beden Manzaraları is a powerful visual protest against the marginalization of the female body on both social and existential levels. The artist constructs her own narrative through a raw and direct aesthetic, standing in opposition to the exclusionary language of patriarchal representation. In doing so, she does not shy away from unsettling the viewer. The landscapes where the female body is devalued—both physically and symbolically—position the audience in a role that is both reflective and complicit. Rejecting the patriarchal traditions of art, these works embrace fragmentation and incompleteness as tools of resistance. Through their positioning in Body as Medium, these pieces become extensions of the exhibition itself—limbs of a collective body—producing a strikingly divergent visual language and raising a powerful collective voice. More than that, they stand as a defiant gesture against silence.
